“Cocktails N’ Tales", 2020 Mid Winter Concert

Each performance will feature our special guests the fabulous Alex Claffy Trio and the phenomenal vocalist Veronica Swift along with the gentlemen of the “O.C.” The Club will be conducted by our maestro John Shankweiler, and accompanied by Mark Daugherty. Highlights include Albert Oehrle and Joe Claffy “tickling the ivories” so this jazz-infused concert is not to be missed!

Plan to come early for a cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres! The Union League will offer these near Lincoln Hall from 7:45 p.m. until 8:20 p.m. The same will apply at Intermission.  We encourage using nearby parking garages other than the one the Union League owns on Sansom Street, since the exodus of all patrons at once causes a large bottleneck for a single garage and its staff, and thus a considerable wait time. There will be an unmanned coat check option upstairs, near Lincoln Hall.   

Pre-concert Dining Options and After Parties

For your convenience, dinner will be available before the Mid-Winter Concert both evenings, March 4 and 5, in the Founder's Room at the Union League. There will be one seating per evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. so that you may dine at your leisure before the concert. The impost is $55 per person NOT INCLUDING tax, gratuity, and beverages.

Again, there will also be an after party with a cash bar held at the Union League each evening. All who have attended the Concert can attend this if they wish to. 

Arrangements have also been made for Orpheus Members to dine at the following Clubs on both concert nights, with reservations needed, as indicated below.  When you contact these other clubs, please mention that you are a member of The Orpheus Club. Both are within a few blocks of the Union League of Philadelphia.
