2026 Outing, Wednesday June 3rd - Singing Members only

Schedule:

• 6:30 a.m. Rowing: It's become a tradition! For you super-early risers! Mike “Stretch” Thompson radclyffethompson1@gmail.com will coordinate the Orpheus Quad Meet at the University Barge Club (No. 7, Boathouse Row) to row 6 miles on the Schuylkill River, pausing to sing under the Columbia train bridge.

• After the rowing, Mike can also take four or five worthies on a Delaware River sail, open to either rowers or others. First hands up! Contact Mike Thompson directly.

• Golf: Tee times to be announced (starting around 8:30am). We will be gathering at Makefield Highland Golf Club, 1418 Woodside rd, Yardley PA 19067. Get an early time, and dash to join the softball. Pay as you go, considerably less than the Cricket Club would be. Please contact Mike Liggera mliggera@gmail.com 

• 10:00 am Hiking: Charlie Rogers charlievrogers@gmail.com will lead a hike on the Wissahickon Creek. Meet at the Valley Green Inn. Hikers depart at 10:15 am.

• Followed by 12/12:30 pm Post-Hike Lunch at the Valley Green Inn in Wissahickon Creek Park, on your own dime. Everyone is invited to join even if they have skipped the hike. There will be enough time to get to softball.

• Lunch and bar service will also be available at the Philadelphia Cricket Club (payable onsite with debit/credit card)

• 12:00 - 3:00 pm Squash: a squash court has been reserved, User fee is $40 payable upon registration. Steve Ujifusa steve.ujifusa@gmail.com is coordinating and taking on all comers!

• 1:15 - 4:00pm Softball: Back at the Springfield Township Field, Veterans Park (just out Willow Grove, across Flourtown Ave), 8021 Traymore Ave, Wyndmoor PA 19038. Scott Carter wscottcarter@outlook.com (Basses) and Charlie Rogers charlievrogers@gmail.com (Tenors) are coordinating. You only need your own glove. 
   
• 2:00 pm. Croquet on Philly Crickets lush grass courts, hard by a shady spot to have lunch and a Pimm's Cup (debit/credit card), and hurl insults at your fellow players. Coordinated by Win "The Hammer" Dougherty  win_dougherty@yahoo.com . Tennis WHITES and collared shirts required for players. A $40 user fee, payable upon registration, covers you for croquet and lawn bowling. 

• 4:45 - 5:45 pm Lawn Bowling: for the early cocktail crowd. Your $40 user fee entitles you to croquet as well. Contact Win Dougherty. 
   
• 6:00 p.m. Cocktails & Hors D’oeuvres at the traditional bar spot in front of the Ballroom: No chits (NO CHITS?). Debit/Credit cards only.
   
• 6:15 p.m. Photo: Tim Ratner Please smile, and display your usual respect and decorum.
   
• 7:00 p.m. Dinner & Song $140 payable in advance at registration.  As tradition holds, there will be many awards and speeches. Other than the glass of wine at dinner, additional drinks may be purchased at the bar with debit/credit cards. Menu (TO BE CONFIRMED WITH CRICKET CLUB): Summer tomato & mozzarella salad, beef tenderloin with Bearnaise sauce, dessert.
